Emily Slapin is a certified medical illustrator, fine artist, and educator living in Providence RI. She received a BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design with a minor in Art History, an MFA in Drawing from the New York Academy of Art with a concentration in Anatomy, and an MA in Medical Illustration from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Emily has been teaching undergraduate and continuing education classes in Figure Drawing, Artistic Anatomy, and 2D design since 2011, and is currently working as a freelance medical illustrator at Brown University Health.
